HEATING

Is the problem ...

You have no heating anywhere in the property ?

Guidance:

Check that there is power to the boiler and to the programmer. Ensure that the programmer is correctly set for date and time and where the ON  points are set. Make certain that the boiler has sufficient water pressure (needle on gauge should be in the green zone. If it has dropped use the filling loop to add water to the system. Otherwise report it as a defect.

Some radiators are not heating up fully ?

Guidance:

If you have radiators, check for trapped air using a bleed key (this is household maintenance).

Underfloor heating isn't working in some rooms ?

Guidance:

If You have underfloor heating check that the zone controllers in each room are powered up and correctly set (remember underfloor heating is much slower to heat up than conventional radiators so give it time). Otherwise report it as a defect.

SELF-DIAGNOSIS
Useful checklist

If you have just moved in, here are some important reminders:

APPLIANCE WARRANTIES

Don't forget to complete all of the warranty cards for your fitted electrical appliances. Keep a copy and send them off to the manufacturer. Should you ever need to report a fault, you know they will have proof of your cover.

WATER AND GAS SHUT-OFF VALVE

Make sure you (and other responsible members of the household) know where to find the shut-off valves for water supply and (if applicable) gas.

METER READINGS
