HEATING

Is the problem ... 

 You have no heating anywhere in the property ? 

Guidance:

Check that there is power to the boiler and to the programmer. Ensure that the programmer is correctly set for date and time and where the ON  points are set. Make certain that the boiler has sufficient water pressure (needle on gauge should be in the green zone. If it has dropped use the filling loop to add water to the system. Otherwise report it as a defectall you need do in the description box is quote the code BHWNH and state:
* Type of boiler

 Some radiators are not heating up fully ? 

Guidance:

If you have radiators, check for trapped air using a bleed key (this is household maintenance).

 Underfloor heating isn't working in some rooms ? 

Guidance:

If You have underfloor heating check that the zone controllers in each room are powered up and correctly set (remember underfloor heating is much slower to heat up than conventional radiators so give it time). Otherwise report it as a defectall you need do in the description box is quote the code UHNW and state:
* Which room

 Heated towel rail isn't working ? 

Guidance:

Ensure this is switched on - switch is normally located above the door on the outside of the bathroom. Also ensure any TVRs are turned on. Otherwise report it as a defectall you need do in the description box is quote the code HTRNW and state:
* Bathroom or ensuite
* Electric or hot water

Useful checklist

If you have just moved in, here are some important reminders:

APPLIANCE WARRANTIES

Don't forget to complete all of the warranty cards for your fitted electrical appliances. Keep a copy and send them off to the manufacturer. Should you ever need to report a fault, you know they will have proof of your cover.

BOILER SERVICE

Make a note in your diary to book a service in 12 months time. Failure to maintain annual services could invalidate your warranty cover.

WATER AND GAS SHUT-OFF VALVE

Make sure you (and other responsible members of the household) know where to find the shut-off valves for water supply and (if applicable) gas.

METER READINGS

Make a note of your meter readings for your electricity supply, water and gas (if applicable). Keep it somewhere safe.
